how has jehovah shown that he is patient?.
Flipper’s comments remind me of 1 Thes 2:3 where it says: “For the exhortation we give does not arise from error or from uncleanness or with deceit.”
The apostle Paul may have had the freedom to speak on the topic of deceit but not so the WTBTS. As this lesson shows and as the following lesson shows, much of WT prints in its publications is ‘from error…… and with deceit!’
richard m. rawe was born may 10, 1934. he died in his sleep a little before midnight, october 26, 1012, in soap lake, washington.
his death was caused by probable acute myocardial infarction and cardiovascular disease.. in 1995, richard had a major stroke that left him with damage to his vocal cords.
previous to the stroke he had a beautiful speaking voice and was much in demand as a speaker in kingdom halls in the northwest when he was a jehovahs witness prior to 1975. in his later years, richard was the host with the raspy, croaky voice of the dialogue telephone conference-line program which hundreds of people listened to twice a month on saturday evening.. up until his death, richard was an attractive, partially balding, gray-haired man, still tall and elegant in appearance, who carried himself with class and dignity no matter how bad he physically felt.
Thank you Dogpatch.
'a regular pioneer for some twenty years'
According to what you've written about Richard's accomplishments - I would say he was a 'Pioneer' even after leaving the JWs!

how has jehovah shown that he is patient?.
I noticed that there was no mention in the article of Elders needing to work on being patient with the congregation members. How many fewer disfellowshippings would there be if the congregation ‘shepherds’ spent more time patiently working with individuals that have committed wrongdoing or others who are weak. I know of too many instances of Elders rushing thru a Judicial Committee only to disfellowship someone because the JC became impatient with the wrongdoer.
Maybe having such qualities as patience, staying power, fortitude, persistence and endurance are not a prerequisite when a man is reaching out for the office of Overseer.
It truly is a sad thing that an Elder in oversight of a congregation lacks such needed qualities when working with people under his care.
I know of a married woman with 3 children in her early forties was recently disfellowshipped. My heart of hearts tells me that the Elders on the JC became impatient, didn’t want to spend/waste the time on assisting and helping her improve on her issues and decided disfellowshipping was the answer. So not only does the sister suffer, but her husband has to share in the pain and humiliation of it, not to mention the pain and humiliation to the children.
All because the Elders are not patient!
i apologize if this is old news or has already been discussed, but i notice the society has posted a video commenting on the annual meeting and the adjusted understanding of matthew 24:45 on jw.org.. here is the link.... http://www.jw.org/en/news/events-activities/video-clip-2012-annual-meeting-program/.

Psalms 107:27 describes perfectly for me the state of mind of WT’s 8 GB members:
“They reel and move unsteadily like a drunken man, and even all their wisdom proves confused.”
My head is still spinning after reading the notes from the annual meeting regarding the discombobulated new understanding of the FDS.

annual meeting reportfood at the proper timean audience of thousands listened to encouraging reports and an exciting discussion of matthew 24:45-47 at the 128th annual meeting of the watch tower bible and tract society of pennsylvania.. .
Another gem that came out of the annual meeting was from GB member Jackson in his opening comments about how WT articles are produced. Some of what Jackson covered included the following:
How are the articles produced? This is done at the world headquarters. The Governing Body is very involved. They preview any information prior to printing. If editing is needed it is done at that time. All the Govern Body members read the information before it is printed, some reading it 2-3 times. Even if a Govern Body member submits an article it still goes through the 70 step process that every article goes through. 70 different checks and reviews are done for every article.
How are new truths revealed ? Brother Jackson stated "First of all, the truths are already there." A question comes up about an idea so research is done. The research goes back to the Governing Body. Bro. Jackson said emphatically "This is not a rubber stamp process!" If all the GB members do not agree on the matter it is put on hold and revisited at another time, sometimes a year or two goes by.
My questions are: Why does it take a ‘70 step process’ to get an article produced? Why does it take ’70 different checks and reviews’ for every article?
When an organization has as its’ back-up support Jehovah, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit-why so many checks and reviews? I can understand a need for some proof readers, but a ‘70 step process’! And then Jackson says ‘sometimes a year or two goes by’ before the GB agrees on some matters!
I’m beginning to understand why there is so much in the way of updates, new understanding, new light, changes and the like in WT world. Confirms my doubts that Jehovah is really, any part of this organization.
i showed my wife the new light, it did not go over good.
i started with all the publications and asked her three questions 1 who is the fds 2when did they start 3 when did they get appointed over "all the belongings"?
using the recent publications she said 1 the fds is 144000 2 they started in the 1st centry 3 they were over all belongings in 1919. then i showed her the annual meeting report on the jw.org and went over each point.
JWs are sore losers. They absolutely hate to lose an argument when it involves Bible doctrine!

From the Society’s 2011 CD ROM
The date of 1914 mentioned in The Wachtower
Year 2011 5 times
Year 2010 18 times
Year 2009 23 times
Year 2008 17 times
Year 2007 17times
Year 2006 23 times
Year 2005 18 times
Year 2004 52times
Year 2003 14 times
Year 2002 13times
Year 2001 23 times
Year 2000 20 times
In comparison for the period :
Years 1990-1999 493 times
Years 1980-1989 831 times
Years 1970-1979 600 times
Years 1960-1969 895 times
Years 1950-1959 900 times
The figures are indeed quite telling.
I noticed also in the 'Bearing Thorough Witness' study book JWs just finished that 1914 is mentioned just 1 time and in the new study book (GOD’S WORD FOR US THROUGH JEREMIAH) there is no, zero mention of 1914! I would say that these rascals back at Bethel are as usual up to something, this time, in connection with their 1914 doctrine.
i think most jws do not know how to explain their religious beliefs.
i don't think they could explain their views of 607 b.c.e.
, 1914, any prophetic bible books, the old vs. the new fds understanding, the blood fraction reasoning, etc.. do you think the average witness is able to explain from the bible why they believe things as they do?.
There have been too many updates and new understandings to JW doctrine and beliefs in recent years. As a result, many if not most JWs are hard pressed to defend their faith because of not understanding the changes and/or are just not able to keep up. They may feel the need to understand but can’t; frustration is beginning to take over due to Mother and her mood swings! Even the Elders are feeling the pinch!

how has jehovah shown that he is patient?.
Blondie asks a good question on paragraph 10.
How many times has the WTS run ahead of God?
Well, how many times over the years has WTS had a need in its publications to use one of the following words when introducing a correction to a previous wrongly held view?
1. New light, 2. Update, 3. Revision, 4. New understanding, 5. Amendment, 6. Correction, 7. Clarification, 8. Modification, 9. Improvement, 10. New explanation and the list goes on…….
The answer: Tons of times!
